Designed with input from notable writer Wiley Clapp with experience as both a US Marine and law enforcement officer this Colt is built as a fighting gun. ; It features a checkered front strap, classic 70 series operating system, special laminate oval shaped grips, plain black Novak rear sight, gold bead front dovetailed into the slide, beavertail grip safety, commander hammer, right hand only small early GI style thumb safety, rear only cocking serrations and GI style guide rod and plug. ; Housed in the custom shop 2 piece blue cardboard box with outer sleve, still wrapped in the original plastic bag with 2 factory Colt magazines, manual, warning tag for the trigger guard, and Colt branded lock.
