The 1646 Air Case is part of Pelican�s Long/Deep series, making it perfect for larger items such as larger cameras/photography gear, surveying gear, and other bulky equipment. It features a Proprietary Polypropylene Blend construction, allowing the 1646 Air Case to easily withstand shock, impact, and crushing but still retain a lightweight. The 1646 Air Case�s ability to withstand physical force is perfectly complimented to resist water, dust, and harsh weather thanks to an EPDM O-ring seal and a Hi-Flow Gore-Tex 3 Micron Hydrophobic Non-Woven purge valve which equalizes air pressure inside the case to prevent moisture from seeping in. In terms of security, the 1646 Air Case is outfitted with Pelican�s signature Press and Pull latches, as well as stainless steel reinforced pad lock protectors. In addition, the case features multiple carry handles, including a folding top carry handle and an extendable carry handle with smooth rolling wheels for ease of transportation.
