Its breathtaking Damascus-clad blade is made from D.P.S. 15a unique blade material produced by Takefu Special Steel Company Ltd. of Japan. It consists of a VG-10 stainless steel core sandwiched between two outer layers of Damascus steel. Each of the Damascus layers is composed of 15 layers of forge-welded steel beautifully patterned and etched to reveal the detail of the structure. To complement its dramatic 31-layer blade the handle scales of this knife are made from state-of-the-art 6AL-4V titanium. Precision machined and bead blasted to a handsome grey finish the scales are supported by a stainless steel back spacer and mated to the blade by a high-strength back lock mechanism. All components are assembled with precision stainless steel Torx hardware and meticulously hand finished.
