The Spyderco BY01PSBK2 traces its lineage back to the inaugural byrd model, embodying the ideal everyday size for a practical carry-and-use cutting tool. We now offer this workhorse design in a more lightweight version. It\'s equipped with injection-molded handles made from fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) that are textured for a secure grip. The blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, fine-full-flat ground to achieve superior edge geometry. Enhancements such as a textured index-finger choil and thumb ramp are included for user safety and control. Tucked within the handle are nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners which reinforce the structure of the knife and secure its robust back lock mechanism. The knife is also furnished with a versatile four-position clip, catering to all possible carry orientations.
