Warthog Sharpeners V-Sharp Xtreme Edge Diamond Hone Set 1000 Grit. Each highly polished rod end results in a specific angle of attack - creating a razor-sharp edge that will never grow dull. The angles are preset for standard diamond grits - i.e. 270 on the coarse side 325 on the medium 600 on fine and 1000 on fine. The 1000 on Fine side is a double sided diamond stone/honing steel ideal for fine and artistic work sculpting dental tools and the wear resistant anti-static black oxide coated Hone side is the same as the steel side. Thus the Honing steel side will draw the sharpening/stropping action from one edge to the other allowing for greater complete sharpening/stropping strokes. The Honing steel side will draw the edge of the blade to the surface of the Honing Steel side pushing it a little closer to the center of the blade. This avoids steel wear and tear that can occur with Honing Rods that have one hole. It also prevents steel wear and tear that can happen with Honing Rods that have serrations or directional grooves.
