A 16\" government profile barrel features a mid-length gas system for reliability with all ammo types. This mid-length gas system also offers the softest shooting option in a carbine-length rifle. At the end of the 1/2 x 28 threaded 1 in 7 twist Government Profile mid-weight barrel, you have a standard A2 bird cage style muzzle brake. Both upper and lower receivers are forged 7075 T6 Aluminum Type 3 hard anodized in black. The upper receiver itself is a flat top so you can add a detachable carry handle or a riser with the optic of your choice, or simply go with the Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sight which comes included. This rifle further features a 6-position carbine buttstock, an A2 pistol grip, and a mid-length M4-style plastic clamshell handguard. An M16 profile bolt carrier comes standard in each rifle.
