The Carlsons 40040 is a precision rifled choke tube, crafted from robust 304 high stress stainless steel. It boasts a sleek matte black finish and can significantly improve accuracy when used with a smooth bore barrel.Carlson\'s premium accessory barrels are designed specifically for Remington 870 models. These outstanding barrels are made from certified ordinance grade 4140 steel with inner bores lined in chrome. The vent rib variants are completed with a satin matte blue finish and equipped with a vibrant red fluorescent front sight accompanied by a brass center bead. All barrels measuring 18 1/2 inches are non-vent ribbed and feature a ramped front sight with a matte finish. Each barrel is outfitted with a Carlson choke tube, which is fabricated from resilient 17-4 stainless steel. The only exception are the rifled choke tube models, which are formed from the same 304 high stress stainless steel that our precision tubes are made from.
