The choke will produce a dense pattern when used with Hevishot Lead Steel or Copperplated lead shot. These chokes do not produce a convex or jagged mouth to hold as much pellet material as the constriction of the choke tube. These chokes also have a matte blue finish. Each choke is marked on the head with the constriction type and size on one end. These chokes can be used in any choke slotting system that allows for choke tubes to be turned for tighter or looser constriction and whether the choke is rated for steel shot or lead should be noted. These chokes also feature a knurled tang at the end of the choke tube. Steel core chokes cannot be used in all constriction types.
