If the case is too tight release the screw and let the expander ball fall out the backside of the die. This releases the backside of the case mouth against the expander ball for a nice smooth chamber expansion. Since the case is already at full length the ball actually moves forward during expansion which helps prevent any backside movement during expansion. The ball is exactly the same size as the case mouth so very little trimming is required. With this ball expander chambers are not necessary and can be tossed into the first E-Z Expander Die that meets the expander ball. This is a nice easy to do part that saves you some serious time and effort in tightening those dies. The E-Z Expander Ball is made in specialized factories.
