Heinie 1911 Cross Dovetail Front Illminated Night Sight Ramp w/Tritium200. Once mounted the front sight ramp protrudes forward to allow the use of a flash hider or a stubby rail on the left side of the pistol. Since the front sight is illminated the bar can not be racked or pushed in to engage the front sight post. This allows the light from the front sight to be projected forward and to the left resulting in a twin sight picture. The Heinie cross dovetail rear sight ramps are illminated to allow the light to come through the ramp and onto the target. The tritium is located in the square notch which is the normal shooting position for a night shooter. The square notch is the same location our factory vertical bar guide pins and springs are placed. Once the front sight is illminated the tritium is continued through the ramp/stake making a dual color setup. This is the standard factory setup for a Heinie Illuminated Ramp Sight. Heinie Ilminated Ramp Sights are machined from bar stock steel not cast or machined from synthetic materials. Some fitting may be required.
