Many like the simplicity and durability of the Heinie straight eight night sights but prefer the sight picture with a more angled rear sight to allow the use of a single sided front sight like the SlantPro. The taller rear sight can improve the shooters sight picture acquisition at a faster rate of sight. All points in the rear of the sight are slanted to eliminate an OE notch effect on the target. The serrations on the Heinie Straight Eight Heinie SlantPro sight set are very close together so that the sight picture is uncluttered. This sight set features a very aggressive front sight post shape for a bolder sight picture. The rear sight does articulate a little forward curvature which is why it is the best option for most people to install on a slanted rear sight. Heinie Straight Eight SlantPro Night Sights will work with most pistols however due to the way the slide locks up only one set of factory sights can be used. Only the front sight will articulate with the round pistol slide. Heinie Straight Eight night sights will not work with factory slide/frame combinations. If you have a factory slide that came with a ramp or an angled rear sight you will need to modify that to work with the new sight.
