Hook's Custom Calls Ebony Gobble Stix One Piece Striker. The hook is made from ebony which is very dense and has an almost unlimited supply of tones. The hardest woods in the world (ebony Walnut Beech Cherry etc) have a very limited supply and are very hard to find. You can almost hear a pin drop if you place your hand over the call. The hardest woods usually have the loudest sounds and it is up to the callactor to make the turkey sound louder if you are using a light pressure. It can be difficult to consistently produce loud turkey sounds with a weaker call such as a slate. So I always advise a one piece rather than two separate piece calls such as our Hornady and Mistick. The reason I only sell one per model is because I want to make sure the gobbler doesn't hear you or flinch if you have an easy gobble from a weak hand.
