Description
Lead & Steel JAG 5.56mm 18in Upper Receiver Group Rifle Length 1-8 Twist Earth. With many features borrowed from the All-Rounder Carbine the JAG is meant to bridge the gap between rifle tiers and provide an offering thats Just As Good. Note: JAG uppers are sold stripped without a BCG or CH unless you select the add on option. Upper assemblies take 1-2 weeks to ship. Barrel: L&Ss 4150CMV stress relieved 1/7 twist mid length barrel is gas nitrocarburized for longevity and is capable of match grade accuracy with Black Hills MK262 ammunition. Barrels are batch HP/MPI and accuracy tested at 100yds. Gas port is drilled to 0.078'' for a smoother shooting rifle that retains reliable extraction and ejection in a variety of environmental conditions. Bolt Carrier Group: The JAG utilizes the L&S Standard BCG a properly heat treated 9310 bolt with a gas nitride coating to keep your AR running flawless. Hand Guard: Free floated and secured via wedge locking system the JAG rail is a 6061 series aluminum handguard that retains a continuous 12 oclock 1913 section and multiple MLOK attachment points for whatever goober-tier accessories you have in mind. Receiver Set: Borrowed from the ARC L&Ss 7075 forged receiver set comes with an M16 FCG pocket and Type III hard coat anodizing for added coating longevity. Gas Drive: L&S utilizes the 4140CMV machined quality gas block (QGB) for paralleled thermal expansion which is secured to the dimpled barrel via degreased thread locked serrated gas block screws torqued to 25 in/lbs. Lead & Steel lifetime warranty. Finish disclaimer: Lead & Steel Products are made for the professional end user. We prioritize function over aesthetics; it is completely normal (and even expected) that your rifle will have small imperfections including forging marks striations in the anodizing tooling marks from our various CNC operations handling marks from the test fire procedure and varying shades between the aluminum. All L&S aluminum components are finished in Type III hard coat anodize because of its surface hardness abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. Type III adds a 0.003'' layer of hard aluminum oxide to the substrates surface. This layer is grown via a proprietary several step electrolytic bath that prioritizes surface protection over all else and the resultant color is dependent upon the saturation of compounds in the various baths dye concentration dye mix ratio aluminum oxide case depth starting smoothness of the part etc. Rails receivers and other aluminum parts can and will vary from one part to the next even within the same batch. It is nearly impossible to have a perfectly matching ARC thereby making each rifle unique. The photos above are a representation of what you will receive but it may not be a 1:1. Even with the inherently inconsistent nature of anodizing we consciously selected Type III Ano for surface finish longevity-to date there is no cerakote (or other painted finish) that can beat it.
