While it is sleek and functional it still has the function of a hand saw it is designed much smaller with a more manadible style. The notch on the back of the saw allows one person to easily saw their way out of any survival situation. The handle is a sturdy two piece folding design that can be removed and attached to a lanyard or neck chain. The Outdoor Edge survival saw has an anti-skid finger guard on the top edge of the handle. It features a bevel on the back of the saw that allows for hand protection. For added functionality it has been equipped with a survival whistle.
