This bag has a integral doughnut bottom compromised of 4 layers of stiff leather and the sidewalls have stiffer leather than most bags, which prevents "rounding" of the bag over time. The standard spacing between the Dr Bag ears is a 1" triple stitch, which allows proper spacing for larger stocks. It is 4" tall to the bottom of the ears where the gun would rest, and has a slight slope.
