Smith Enterprise Direct Connect Vortex 2000-V-A3 Flash Hider M14 Matte

The Smith Enterprise Direct Connect Vortex 2000-V-A3 Flash Hider was developed for the US Navy SEAL MK14 Mod O variant of the M14 rifle, and has since become a standard issue item. The Vortex DC must be used in conjunction with the Smith Enterprise M14 Gas Lock Front Sight (GLFS), and allows for the installation of Smith's quick detachable Direct Connect sound suppressor. The Vortex flash hider uses a patented 15 degree, right hand helical flute design to eliminate muzzle flash. Used by US armed forces worldwide as well as US Dept of Homeland Security and law enforcement across the nation. Machined from ordnance grade 8620 steel and finished with a mil-spec phospate. The GLFS/Vortex Direct Connect system does away with the old castle nut and front sight housing, providing the host weapon with a reliable and sturdy method for attaching a flash hider and sound suppressor.
