Smith Enterprise Vortex A3 Flash Hider 5/8"-24 x .635" Depth Thread LR-308 Matte

The Vortex flash hider uses a patented 15 degree, right hand helical flute design to eliminate muzzle flash. Used by US armed forces worldwide as well as US Dept of Homeland Security and law enforcement across the nation. Machined from ordnance grade 8620 steel, case hardened and parkerized to MIL-I-171. Designed not to loosen under sustained fire. The A3 version has the 10 pitch helix groove on OD so as when suppressed gives carbon a place to go, that allows for easy removal after sustained firing.This Vortex uses a 5/8"-24 x 0.625" (depth) thread pattern, used by DPMS LR-308 based rifles, as well as the Savage 110 FCP bolt action rifle. Also ideal for use with the 6.8x43mm SPC cartridge. Notes: Due to the design of the Vortex flash hider, no crush washer is needed to install this flash hider and it is not recommended that one is used.
