This improves the ability to carry and employ the system while minimizing the number of items carried. An 800 degree rated Kevlar sling base that eliminates the chance of melting. The design along with the high heat Kevlar shields allows the sling to remain on the weapon while in use. The mortar can be attached with the base plate intact allowing for quick deployment and ensuring the base plate will stay attached to the mortar tube. Durable separation buckle located on the sling at mid-point for easy access that will not melt or become damaged when it comes into contact with the hot mortar tube. The mortar can be worn either barrel up or down depending on user preference.
