This means if you need to get your mags out you just need to remove the spring and attach the baseplate. No tools required. Just slide your magazine half way through and back it onto the spring. Your mag will be locked solidly in place until you release it by pushing the pin out. Once it is on just pull the pin out and continue loading your mag until it is off.
