Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT Carbon 7mm PRC Carbon Grey Cerakote Bolt Action Rifle - 22in - The Alpine MDT Carbon is built on Weatherby's newest bolt action rifle platform, the Model 307. Meant to complement the historic Mark V and Vanguard lineups, the Model 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action compatible with many aftermarket accessories. Model 307 is designed to accommodate the vast offerings of stocks, triggers, rails, mounts, and magazines that exist in today's marketplace. Weatherby teamed up with MDT to produce an ultra-light chassis rifle that can own the range and dominate in the field. The carbon fiber chassis features a foldable buttstock and when collapsed cuts out over 9in of total length making it a great compact option. You'll also find that the barrels on the Alpine MDT Carbon are shorter than our traditional offerings. The BSF carbon barrel delivers unmatched accuracy and comes with Weatherby's Accubrake DST (Directional Self-Timing Brake). Through years of innovation and testing, the Model 307 action features a bolt that was designed to have a tool-less disassembly which allows hunters and shooters to easily field strip their bolt if needed. The bolt is equipped with an M16-style extractor for positive extraction and reliable ejection. The Alpine MDT Carbon comes standard with an externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger and PEAK 44 picatinny rail. The Alpine MDT Carbon sits on MDT's lightweight HNT26 Chassis System, which is their first purpose-built hunting rifle chassis. This stock provides all of the benefits one expects from a chassis system such as v-block bedding, adjustable length of pull, adjustable comb, and AICS magazine compatibility. Weighing in at just 26oz, the chassis is constructed of a magnesium alloy stock, carbon fiber forend, carbon fiber pistol grip, and carbon fiber buttstock. The forend has an integral ARCA rail for easy attachment to a tripod and a foldable buttstock for compact storage. Available in standard short and long actions, the Alpine MDT Carbon not only offers some of Weatherby's historic magnum cartridges but is also available in some of the most popular cartridges on the market.
